A very important appeal: Don’t Panic – Act Wisely, Not Emotionally!
Please read till the end.
Getting forwarded messages on WhatsApp regarding civil unrest in the city due to protests by its students? Fake messages & rumors regarding anything always misleads and sometimes lands us in unimaginable consequences.

This appeal is regarding the very serious issue of many WhatsApp users who forward any information they think worth-sharing without any second thought like verifying the info they are sharing and mostly without realizing its impact if in case the information they are sharing is false. And, most of the messages that go viral are related to sensitive issues.

Students protesting ethically in different parts of the city is a trending news. But it has been observed that manipulating with the help of such a burning & serious topic, misinformation like “get prepared, curfew to be imposed in our city, situation may turn worse Etc”.is added and being propagated with some attachments of pdf and image files containing some safety measures and the message has no authenticity.
Such unauthentic messages creates panic in the society and effect in a negative way and in some worst situations, the sender of it has to face legal actions as per the terms of use of those apps. So, beware and don’t share any information ignorantly via social apps which may create social-trauma.
Not many do so but each share matters and that’s what being tried to avoid from this post. Prevention is better than cure.
